The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recognized fifteen Boise School District facilities as “50001 Ready.”

During the Boise School Board's regular monthly meeting on August 12, 2024, trustees officially approved the transition of Owyhee Elementary School into a new early learning center, serving Pre-K children (ages 3-5), beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. This change reflects the District’s ongoing commitment to expanding early childhood education opportunities and ensuring a strong educational foundation for the youngest members of our community.

Boise School District, a nationally recognized leader in sustainability, has been awarded $2,760,000 in grant funds from the latest round of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean School Bus Program (CSBP). Together with Durham School Services and electric vehicle (EV) partner Highland Electric Fleets, Boise School District will integrate up to eight electric school buses into its fleet, as part of a pilot program.

The official ballot for the Boise School Board Trustee Election on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 has been finalized. There will be only one race on this year’s ballot.
