Dear Riverglen Families,

I hope this newsletter finds you well and that you are enjoying the last few days of summer break.

I wanted to share some important school information and upcoming events with you before school starts on August 12th.

As always, if there is something we can do to support your child and/or family, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Ms. Billingsley

Changes in Locker Room Use

NO LOCKER ROOM USE FOR ALL P.E. CLASSES

The Riverglen locker rooms will not be used for PE classes this year. They will still be used for after-school sports, but will be locked the rest of the school day.

Please make sure your student is dressed in clothing that allows comfortable physical movement every school day.

Chromebook Use Updates

This year, the replacement cost for a lost or damaged Chromebook has increased to $325.

Most students reported Chromebook incidents while using them or leaving them in the Cafeteria during Break and Lunch.

Because of this, we are asking students to put their Chromebooks, binders, and books in their lockers on the way to Break and Lunch.

Please remind your student to take care of their Chromebook and to leave it in their locker during Lunch and Break.

Sports at Riverglen

SPORTS PHYSICALS

New this year, we are offering Sports Physicals here at Riverglen on August 4th from 9 am - 3 pm.

All students who want to participate in one of our sports must have a valid physical before they can play.

Please scan the appropriate QR code to register for a physical.

AKTIVATE TO RANK ONE TRANSITION

For the 2026/2027 school year, Boise School District will be using Rank One, a new online platform to manage all things athletics. We will no longer be using Aktivate. If you have documents on Aktivate that you need access to, please follow the instructions using the link below.

All incoming 7th graders and 9 graders will need a sports physical for all sports and PE.
